Lead times vary depending on the programme and site location, but Taurus will respond to every enquiry with a quote within 48 hours of the site visit. If you have a start date in mind, mention it when you call and we will tell you whether it is achievable. Most projects run for approximately two weeks from mobilisation.

Are you accredited for commercial projects?

Yes. Taurus holds four industry accreditations: CHAS Accredited Contractor, SSIP Registered Member, PQS Pre-Qualification Health & Safety Approved, and Constructionline Associate Member. These cover the health and safety, pre-qualification and contractor vetting requirements that commercial clients, developers and architects typically require before appointing a piling contractor.

Can you work on restricted access sites — we have a very tight plot in London?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Taurus operates both restricted access rigs and open site rigs, including Grundomat equipment designed for low-headroom and narrow-access sites. Tight rear gardens, London terraces, town centre sites with no vehicle access — these are the jobs Taurus takes on specifically. If you have been told your site is not workable, call and describe the constraints before writing it off.

What does "design and construct" mean — do I need to hire my own structural engineer?

No. Taurus provides a complete design and construct package up to DPC, which means the pile design, the installation specification and the physical construction are all handled in-house by the same team. You do not need to appoint a separate structural engineer for the piling design stage. This cuts the time between appointment and start on site, and removes the communication gap that opens up when design and build are split across two contractors.
